Su and I spent the weekend getting our food ready for the first leg of our hike; Amicalola Falls to Neels gap (3-4 days). As well as getting our resupply boxes and all Mya’s resupply food ready to give to mom so she can ship ’em as needed.

For those of you who may be wondering what some of that yummy looking food is, i’ll tell ya…

Breakfast:

Su’s amazing oatmeal creations, which include, but are not limited to; apples, raisins, cranberries, flax, brown sugar, and love.

Snacks:

Whole foods yummy trail mix’s, cheez-its, peanut butter, and chocolate peanut butter

Lunch:

tortillas with peanut butter, tortillas with tuna, tortillas with refried beans, tortillas with hummus, tortillas with black beans, and a few other things involving tortillas I imagine.

Dinner:

Roman with dehydrated veggies, mac and cheese, couscous (the food so nice they named it twice) with dehydrated mushrooms and black beans, and olive oil to add in.

Our resupply food consists of more specialty items that we will have difficulty finding in trail towns along the way; powdered hummus, amazingly yummy coconut peanut butter, powdered coconut milk, curry cubes, dehydrated veggies, TVP, dried fruit, etc.etc. We figure that if we have to send mail drops for Mya’s food anyway, then we mine as well include some yummy treats for ourselves.

And if any friends and/or family want to send along some yummy treats as well. We’ll be posting our estimated mail drop locations as we go, so stay tuned for addresses and locations. For more info on sending food and mail drops check out our Buy Mya a Bone page.
